The Ferdiad Cycle
The Gaedil is the longest river in Eastern Drystan, flowing all the way from Mynydd-Brynn to the Endless Sea and Hrodland. Gaedil has a special place in the Cernish folklore and is said to host all sorts of spirits and fairies. According to the Tome of Invasions the river’s destiny is closely tied to the people of Aenoria and that one cannot exist without the other.
Gaedil is a vital to the of trade in Aenoria. Countless river barges travel it across the country transporting goods and passengers. As a result many inns and toll stations are built along it and it’s waters are kept safe by the men of the River Patrol.
