Map

Glenwathen is one of the most important cities in the land, being the last major port in the north along the Gaedil. It’s sturdy walls were erected by the Ellysians during the early days of the empire to guard the conquerors against the last Cernish rebel clans of the north. After the empire fell most of the city was burned down in the uprising, leaving only the oldest structures in the very middle standing. The impressive cathedral with it’s numerous gargoyles was badly damaged but later converted to the Corwynt faith.

The rebel thane Lorr magh Cewren famously marched out of the city vowing to either free his province or die trying after the high king’s failed attempts to bribe the man into submission. Many major clans in Glenwathen sided with Lorr only to lose much of their fortunes after he was defeated. These clans have survived to this day and none have buried their crudges towards the southerners, making the management of the city a difficult task indeed.
