Tome of Invasions

" Three score thousands in brilliant wise
over water of Endless Sea,
that is the tally who went from home,
the children of Érainn, the warrior of the plains. "
- Mac Lerden, the second invasion

Tome of Invasions (Lebor Gabála Aern in old Ogham) is a loose collection of poems and prose narratives recounting the mythical origins and history of the Cerns from the creation of the world down to the Cycle of Sunder. It was written by Elandrias of Andaria who travelled around Aenoria collecting old folk stories and songs for over a decade, quoting many famous bards and prophets. The book details four separate migrations of different tribes who fought over the lands:

The first tribe was the Cruithin who came from the west and drove the Giant-kin away after generations of warring. They were defeated later by the second invaders, the Érainn sailing from a distant land across the Endless Sea. The Cerns arrived from unknown location and drove the Érainn to the north and later defended their new home against the invasion of the horse tribes of the Bodei with the help of the wizard Obeiron. The conquest of the Ellysians is sometimes called the “fifth invasions” although they are not mentioned in the tome.
